3. Inspect water-in-fuel wiring
1. If damaged, replace water-in-
harness connector W24 C1 for
fuel wiring harness (WP 0334,
damage (WP 0451, Vol 3,
Vol 2 and WP 0336, Vol 2).

equipment to original condition,
and proceed to next

1. Disconnect water-in-fuel wiring
harness connector W24 C2
from engine ECM wiring
harness connector W25 C8

harness connector W24 C2 and
fuel wiring harness (WP 0334,
connector pins for damage.
Vol 2 and WP 0336, Vol 2).
2. If no damage is found, restore
equipment to original condition,
and proceed to next
malfunction.
3. Measure resistance between
water-in-fuel harness W24 C2
water-in-fuel sensor SIGNAL
pin (pin 1) and RETURN pin
(pin 2) (WP 446, Vol 3). Record
measurement.
4. Disconnect water-in-fuel sensor
harness W24 C1 from water-in-
fuel sensor (WP 0451, Vol 3,
Figure 44).
5. Measure resistance between
water-in-fuel harness W24 C2
kiloOhms (kΩ), proceed to next
water-in-fuel sensor SIGNAL
test.
