Failure todisconnect batteries may lead toelectrical shock or short circuit andresult in severe personnel injury ordamage to equipment.1.DISCONNECT BATTERIES.a.Unbuckle battery box holddown straps (1) andremove battery box covers (2) from bothbatteries.b.Lift rubber battery terminal caps (3) from batteryterminals.When disconnecting batteries,disconnect negative battery cablebefore disconnecting positive batterycable. Failure to disconnect batteriesin the proper sequence may lead toelectrical shock or short circuit andresult in severe personnel injury.c.Remove battery nut (4) and negative batterycable (5) from negative terminal of outboardbattery.d.Remove battery nut (4) and positive batterycable (6) from positive terminal of inboardbattery.GO TO NEXT PAGE7-4
