REMOVE - Continued.

REMOVE PRESTRIKE PLATE.
a.
Remove self-locking nuts (4) and flat washers
(5) from both ends of prestrike plate (6).
Discard self-locking nuts.
When
self-locking
nuts
(7)
are
removed, prestrike plate (6) and
strikeoff (8) could fall. Use a second
person
to
support
components
during removal. Failure to do so
could result in damage to equipment.
b.
With the help of another person to support
prestrike plate (6) and strikeoff (8), remove self-
locking nuts (7) and flat washers (9).
c.
Remove strikeoff (8) by sliding to the outside of
the paving machine.
d.
Remove prestrike plate (6) and lock pins (10).
