INSTALL SPRING PINS INTO CONVEYOR
DRAG BAR.
a.
Start the paving machine. Refer to TM 53895-
373-10.
b.
Have second person activate conveyor in
forward or reverse as needed. Refer to TM
53895-373-10. When drag bar (4) to be
replaced is on top of conveyor idler roller (5),
signal second person to stop conveyor.
c.
Shut off engine and remove key from ignition
switch. Refer to TM 5-3895-373-10.
d.
Use a 0.25 in. (0,635 mm) drive pin punch to
install spring pins (6) into conveyor drag bar
(4).
