Air Cleaner Assembly Service -- Continued.
WARNING
Particles blown by compressed air are hazardous. Ensure air stream is directed away from user
and any personnel in the area. Use a maximum of 30 pounds per square inch (psi) (2.0 bar) when
compressed air is used to clean parts. Always wear safety glasses when using compressed air.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Rough handling of air cleaner primary element will damage element.
2. Direct compressed air, from inside out, into primary filter element (Figure 3, Item 3) while turning air filter
primary element. If dust and dirt does not come out easily, tap air filter primary element gently to dislodge
solid material.
3. Remove dirt and debris from air cleaner housing (Figure 3, Item 1), air cleaner housing cap (Figure 3, Item 5),
and dust ejection valve (Figure 3, Item 6) using compressed air.
4. Install new safety filter element (Figure 3, Item 2), primary filter element (Figure 3, Item 3), and air cleaner
housing cap (Figure 3, Item 5) onto air cleaner housing (Figure 3, Item 1), and close three latches (Figure 3,
Item 4).
