Secondary Fuel Tank Installation -- Continued.
WARNING
The secondary fuel tank weighs 60 lb (27 kg). Two personnel or a suitable lifting device is
necessary to lift component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Install secondary fuel tank (Figure 2, Item 3) into BMPM with assistance.
2. Install bolt (Figure 2, Item 4) and new lock washer (Figure 2, Item 5) onto bracket (Figure 2, Item 7).
3. Install bolt (Figure 2, Item 11) and new lock washer (Figure 2, Item 10) onto bracket (Figure 2, Item 9).
4. Remove caps from fuel crossover hose (Figure 2, Item 8), fuel vent crossover hose (Figure 2, Item 1), and
connection points (Figure 2, Items 2 and 6).
5. Connect fuel crossover hose (Figure 2, Item 8) and fuel vent crossover hose (Figure 2, Item 1) to connection
points (Figure 2, Items 2 and 6).
END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Remove lifting device.
2. Install battery tray (WP 0357).
3. Install engine hood assembly (WP 0433).
4. Verify proper operation.
5. Dispose of fuel and wiping rags In Accordance With (IAW) local Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
