60-Gallon Fuel Tank Assembly Installation -- Continued.
WARNING
The 60 gallon fuel tank assembly weighs 132 lb (60 kg). Use a suitable lifting device. Failure
to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
There are many points on the BMPM where personnel could be injured by moving parts.
Care should be taken to avoid any pinch points when performing maintenance. Failure to
comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Install 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 3, Item 8) in BMPM with assistance.
2. Install three bolts (Figure 3, Item 13) and new lock washers (Figure 3, Item 14) onto mounting brackets
(Figure 3, Item 15).
3. Install bolt (Figure 3, Item 6), new lock washer (Figure 3, Item 7), and bracket (Figure 3, Item 9) onto radiator
mount weldment.
4. Install bolt (Figure 3, Item 11), flat washer (Figure 3, Item 10), new lock washer (Figure 3, Item 5), and nut
(Figure 3, Item 4) onto bracket (Figure 3, Item 9) and 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 3, Item 8).
5. Install W1 J45 (Figure 3, Item 2) and nut (Figure 3, Item 3) onto fuel tank sensor (Figure 3, Item 1).
6. Install two fittings (Figure 3, Items 17 and 12) onto 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 3, Item 8).
7. Connect fuel line (Figure 3, Item 16) onto fitting (Figure 3, Item 17).
