60-Gallon Fuel Tank Assembly Removal -- Continued.
3. Disconnect fuel line (Figure 2, Item 16) from fitting (Figure 2, Item 17),
4. Remove two fittings (Figure 2, Items 17 and 12) from 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 2, Item 8).
5. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 11), flat washer (Figure 2, Item 10), lock washer (Figure 2, Item 5), and nut
(Figure 2, Item 4) from bracket (Figure 2, Item 9) and 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 2, Item 8). Discard
lock washers.
6. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 6), lock washer (Figure 2, Item 7), and bracket (Figure 2, Item 9) from radiator
mount weldment. Discard lock washer.
7. Remove nut (Figure 2, Item 3) and W1 J45 (Figure 2, Item 2) from fuel tank sensor (Figure 2, Item 1).
8. Remove three bolts (Figure 2, Item 13) and lock washers (Figure 2, Item 14) from mounting brackets (Figure
2, Item 15). Discard lock washers.
WARNING
The 60-gallon fuel tank assembly weighs 132 pounds (lb) (60 kilograms (kg)). Use a suitable
lifting device. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
There are many points on the Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM) where personnel
could be injured by moving parts. Care should be taken to avoid any pinch points when
performing maintenance. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Use mounting points on 60-gallon fuel tank, bolts, flat washers, and D-rings for lifting points.
9. Remove 60-gallon fuel tank assembly (Figure 2, Item 8) from BMPM with assistance.
