1. Remove fuel filter (perform steps 1 2 of Fuel Filter Removal task).
CAUTION
Tag and label fuel lines prior to removal. Fuel lines must be installed correctly for proper
operation. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Some fuel will leak out of fuel lines and fittings when connecting or disconnecting components.
Have a drain pan and rags in place to capture fuel.
2. Disconnect two fuel lines (Figure 1, Items 6 and 9) from fuel filter mount (Figure 1, Item 2), and cap/plug fuel
lines and fittings.
3. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 5), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 4), flat washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and fuel
filter mount (Figure 1, Item 2) from 60-gallon fuel tank. Discard lock washers.
END OF TASK
1. Install fuel filter mount (Figure 1, Item 2), two bolts (Figure 1, Item 5), new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 4),
and flat washers (Figure 1, Item 3) onto 60-gallon fuel tank.
2. Remove caps/plugs from fuel lines (Figure 1, Items 6 and 9) and fittings.
3. Connect two fuel lines (Figure 1, Items 6 and 9) to fuel filter mount (Figure 1, Item 2).
4. Install fuel filter (perform steps 1 2 of Fuel Filter Installation task).
FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Close right-side floorboard door (TM 5-3895-385-10).
2. Set BATTERY DISCONNECT switch to ON (TM 5-3895-385-10).
3. Verify proper operation.
