MALFUNCTION

3. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
4. Check active engine faults
1. If SPN#729, FMI#3 is
screen for fault code SPN#729,
displayed, turn keyless engine
FMI#3.
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and proceed to
next malfunction.
2. If SPN#729, FMI#3 is not
displayed, turn keyless engine
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and proceed to
malfunction 4.
3. Failed intake air heater relay.
1. Restore equipment to original
condition.
2. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
3. Check active engine faults
1. If fault code SPN#729, FMI#4 is
screen for fault code SPN#729,
active, turn keyless engine
FMI#4.
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and replace
intake air heater relays (WP
0392, Vol 2).
