TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
CAUTION
All active fault codes must be investigated prior to replacing the engine Electronic Control Module
(ECM). Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Some sensors share harness wiring. Malfunctions in certain sensors or in the engine ECM may
cause false errors to display because of this shared wiring. For this malfunction (SPN#105,
FMI#10), harness wiring is shared by the intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor, the
camshaft position sensor, the water-in-fuel sensor, and the rail fuel pressure sensor.

MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Additional faults displayed.
1. Install fuse box (WP 0277, Vol
2).
2. Connect battery cables (WP
0357, Vol 2).
3. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
