MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
5. Circuit response error.
1. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
2. Check active engine faults
1. If fault code SPN#105, FMI#3 is
screen for fault code SPN#105,
displayed, turn keyless engine
FMI#3.
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and proceed to
next test.
2. If fault code SPN#105, FMI#3 is
not displayed, turn keyless
engine switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3895-385-10), and
replace ECM (WP 0332, Vol 2).
3. Place jumper wire between
engine intake manifold
temperature SIGNAL pin (pin
47) and engine intake manifold
temperature RETURN pin (pin
23) at ECM (WP 0448, Vol 3,
Figure 17) and wait for 30
seconds.
4. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
5. Check active engine faults
1. If fault code SPN#105, FMI#4 is
screen for fault code SPN#105,
displayed, turn keyless engine
FMI#4.
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and replace
engine ECM wiring harness
(WP 0334, Vol 2).
2. If fault code SPN#105, FMI#4 is
not displayed, turn keyless
engine switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3895-385-10), and
replace ECM (WP 0332, Vol 2).
