TM 5-3895-373-341.15AUGER/CONVEYORMOTOR.The paving machine uses two auger/conveyor motors. Aseparate motor is used for right and left side of thepaving machine and are independently controlled. Themotors are powered by the left and right auxiliaryhydraulic pumps. The following description applies toeither motor.The auger/conveyor motor is a gear rotor type, lowspeed, high torque hydraulic motor. The motor ismounted on the main frame weldment inside the pavingmachine, above the auger/conveyor assemblies. It has adisplacement of 19.9 cubic inches (326,4 ml) perrevolution and operates at 2750 psi (18 961 kPa). Thefixed-displacement motor is reversible and is lubricatedby the hydraulic oil flowing through it. Oil flows throughthe gear rotor to the internal gear assembly. The internalgear assembly drives the multiple gear shaft. An internalcheck valve regulates case pressure. The motor driveshaft is mounted in two tandem roller bearings for a highradial load capacity and smooth operation.1-7
