TM 5-3895-373-201.12.8. ScreedVibrators. Screed vibrators are locatedon the main screed and left and right extension screeds.The vibrators are eccentric weighted shafts driven byhydraulic motors. Rotation of the eccentric shaft causesthe screed to vibrate. The vibrator motors are turned onand off at the operator switch panel. When the switch isplaced up, "AUTO" position, the vibrators run only whenthe paving machine is travelling forward. An adjustableflow control is used to adjust vibration frequency. Thevibrators are used to compact the paving materialpassing underneath the screed plates.1.12.9. RelayandCircuitBreakerPanel.A relay andcircuit breaker panel is located inside the operatorcontrol panel. The relay and breaker panel is equippedwith four relays and ten circuit breakers. Two relays turnseparate voltages on and off to the neutral start andengine induction heater relays located on the voltagetransformer panel. The other two relays controlautomatic functions of the screed vibration andauger/conveyor drives. There are seven manual resetcircuit breakers and three breakers that automaticallyreset 10 seconds after an overload condition is removed.1-13
