Beacon Light Wiring Harness Removal -- Continued.
WARNING
Engine covers do not stay open unaided. They must be held open or supported while working
inside engine hood assembly. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Tag and label electrical wiring and connections prior to removal. Electrical wiring must be
installed correctly for proper operation. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Open engine cover (Figure 1, Item 8), and remove nut (Figure 1, Item 7) and beacon light wiring harness
ground wire (Figure 1, Item 5) from engine hood assembly bolt (Figure 1, Item 6).
2. Disconnect W18 J1 (Figure 1, Item 3) from W1 J49 (Figure 1, Item 4).
3. Remove beacon light (Figure 1, Item 1) from beacon light mount (Figure 1, Item 9).
4. Disconnect beacon ground wire (Figure 1, Item 10) from beacon light wiring harness ground wire (Figure 1,
Item 5).
5. Disconnect beacon power wire (Figure 1, Item 2) from W18 (Figure 1, Item 3), and close engine cover (Figure
1, Item 8).

Beacon Light Wiring Harness Installation
WARNING

1. Connect beacon ground wire (Figure 1, Item 10) onto beacon light wiring harness ground wire (Figure 1,
Item 5).
2. Connect beacon power wire (Figure 1, Item 2) onto W18 (Figure 1, Item 3).
3. Install beacon light (Figure 1, Item 1) onto beacon light mount (Figure 1, Item 9).
4. Open engine cover (Figure 1, Item 8), install beacon light wiring harness ground wire (Figure 1, Item 5) and
nut (Figure 1, Item 7) onto engine hood assembly bolt (Figure 1, Item 6).
5. Connect W18 J1 (Figure 1, Item 3) to W1 J49 (Figure 1, Item 4), and close engine cover (Figure 1, Item 8).
