TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
WARNING
Fuels used in the Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM) are combustible and toxic to
eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Skin and eye protection are required when working in
contact with fuel. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Do not smoke or use open flame
when performing maintenance. Do not fill fuel tank while engine is running. Fire and possible
explosion may result. Provide adequate ventilation. Wash exposed skin and change soaked
clothing promptly if exposed to fuel. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
Never inject fuel near a fire source. Atomized fuel is highly combustible. Fuel pressure is high
enough to penetrate skin. Ensure spray from the injector nozzle is directed away from all
personnel. Direct contact with spray can cause skin cell destruction and blood poisoning.
Skin and eye protection are required when working in contact with fuel. Failure to comply may
cause injury or death to personnel and damage to equipment.
