Avoid contactwith skin, eyes, and clothes, and donot breathe vapors. Keep away fromheat or flame. Never smoke whenusing solvent; the flashpoint for TypeHI cleaning solvent is 200°F (93,3°C).Failure to do so may result in injuryor death to personnel.If personnel become dizzy whileusing cleaning solvent, immediatelyget fresh air and medical help. Ifsolvent contacts skin or clothes,flush with cold water. If solventcontacts eyes, flush eyes with waterand get immediate medical attention.a.Use cleaning solvent and lint-free cloth toclean inside of bottom cover (8) and insideof fuel filter head (11).b.Install gasket (13) and thumbscrew (12) onbottom cover (8).WARNINGFuel is very flammable and canexplode easily. To avoid seriousinjury or death:Always wear safety glasses/gogglesat all times.Keep at least a B-C fire extinguisherwithin easy reach when working withfuel or on a fuel system.Do not work on fuel system whenengine is hot; fuel can be ignited by ahot engine.Post signs that read "NO SMOKINGWITHIN 50 FEET" when working withopen fuel lines or fuel tanks.c.Coat bottom gasket (9), top gasket (10),and seal (16) with clean fuel.d.Install bottom gasket (9) into bottom cover(8).e.Seat fuel filter element (7) in bottom cover(8).f.Install top gasket (10) into fuel filter head (I11).g.Install seal (16) into filter head (11).h.Install flat washer (15) and preformedpacking (14) onto bolt (6).i.Squarely seat fuel filter element (7) andbottom cover (8) into filter head (11).j.Install bolt (6) through filter head (11) andtighten.GO TO NEXT PAGE2-411
