To avoid seriousinjury or death:Always wear safety glasses/gogglesat all times.Keep fuel away from open flame orany spark (ignition source).Keep at least a B-C fire extinguisherwithin easy reach when working withfuel or on a fuel system.Post signs that read "NO SMOKINGWITHIN 50 FEET" when working withopen fuel lines or fuel tanks.g.Hold end of spray wand in utility pail andsqueeze the spray wand trigger to start fuelflow.h.When pail is 3/4 full, release spray wandtrigger to stop fuel flow. Dispose of fuel inaccordance with local procedure.i.Repeat steps f and g to remove as muchfuel as possible from the fuel tank. Turnfuel pump switch DOWN, off, and shut offand remove key from ignition switch per TM5-3895-373-10.j.Remove spray tip retainer (6) from spraywand. Reinstall spray tip (7) onto spraywand and secure in place with tip retainer.k.Set screed burner fuel shutoff valve (10) toclosed by turning valve handle to the 3o’clock position.l.Disconnect fuel spray hose (8) from quickdisconnect coupler (9).m.Coil up hose (8) and return fuel spray wandassembly (4) to hanger (5).n.Go to step 2 to drain any remaining fuel.GO TO NEXT PAGE2-406
