The primary method is inStep 1 using a hand operated pump.An alternate method is to use the fuelspray washdown system.1.DRAIN FUEL SPRAY SYSTEM USING HANDOPERATED PUMP.WARNINGFuel is very flammable and canexplode easily. To avoid seriousinjury or death:Always wear safety glasses/gogglesat all times.Keep fuel away from open flame orany spark (ignition source).Keep at least a B-C fire extinguisherwithin easy reach when working withfuel or on a fuel system.Post signs that read "NO SMOKINGWITHIN 50 FEET" when working withopen fuel lines or fuel tanks.a.Insert hand pump into top of fuel tank.b.Operate hand pump to transfer fuel intosuitable container. Dispose of fuel inaccordance with local procedures.c.Go to step 3 to drain any remaining fuel.2.DRAIN REMAINING FUEL FROM TANK DRAINPORT.a.Loosen fuel tank drain plug (1) with hexhead wrench.b.Hold utility pail (2) up to drain port (3) andremove drain plug (1).c.Replace drain plug (1) when utility pail (2)nears 3/4 full.
