Remove engine accesscover per paragraph 2.22.A thorough visual inspection of airintake system requires removal ofbaffle, air cleaner filter element, aircleaner deflector, and ducting. Makesure that the air intake is not blockedin any manner. Replace filter element,if visibly clogged.AIR CLEANER PRESSURE DROP TEST - STE/ICE-R TEST 28DESCRIPTIONTEST PROCEDURESMeasures pressure drop across air cleaner to detect1.Shut down engine per TM 5-3895-373-10.extent of air cleaner clogging.2.Set TEST SELECT switches to 28.Transmitter: 12258932-2DCA Test Pins: AA and AB3.Press and hold TEST button until CAL appears ondisplay.PRE-TEST PROCEDURES4.Release TEST button and wait for offset value toappearRun confidence test per TM 9-4910-571-12&P.on display. If offset value is within -9 and +9,proceed.5.Press and release TEST button.POSSIBLE ERROR MESSAGES6.Run engine at test speed per TM 5-3895-373-10.005 Required offset test was not performed.7.Observe displayed value.
