Step 2.
Fully extend extension screeds per TM 5-3895-373-10. Check if extension vibrators operate
normally.
If extension vibrators operate normally and a visual inspection shows no damage of main vibrator
components, replace main vibration motor per TM 5-3895-373-20 and repair per paragraph 2.76.
Step 3.
With paving machine turned off per TM 5-3895-373-10, check main vibrator components for seized
bearings or other damaged main screed vibrator components by turning main screed universal joint
shaft by hand.
Replace main screed vibrator components per paragraph 2.74.
