REASSEMBLE PISTON ROD ASSEMBLY.
WARNING
Hydraulic
oil
can
be
moderately
flammable and can be an irritant to
the
skin,
eyes,
and
respiratory
system. Avoid prolonged exposure.
Eye protection and rubber gloves
must be worn when working with
hydraulic oil.
a.
Lubricate piston rod (4) with clean hydraulic oil.
b.
Slide cylinder head (2) onto piston rod (4).
c.
Lubricate split piston halves (5) with clean
hydraulic oil.
d.
Install split piston halves (5) on piston rod (4).
3.
INSERT
PISTON
ROD
ASSEMBLY
AND
CYLINDER HEAD INTO CYLINDER TUBE.
CAUTION
Do not clamp cylinder tube against
metal jaws in vise. Use wooden
blocks
between
vise
jaws
and
cylinder. Damage to surface of
cylinder tube can result from contact
with metal vise jaws.
a.
Clamp cylinder tube (3) in a bench vise. Pad
vise jaws with wooden blocks.
