Pull switches fromrear of gauge panel. Remove hex nut (25).Discard lockwashers and dust and moistureboots. Refer to legend and illustration.b.Remove indicator lights (26, 27, and 28)from gauge panel (21) by removinglockwashers (29) and o-rings (30). Pullindicator lights from front of gauge panel.Discard lockwashers and o-rings. Refer tolegend and illustration.c.Remove gauges (31 through 35) fromgauge panel (21) by removing knurled nuts(36) and mounting clamps (37). Pull gaugefrom front of gauge panel and removepreformed packing (38). Removelampholder (39) and lamp (40) from gauge.Discard preformed packing. Discardincandescent lamp if burned out. Refer tolegend and illustration.d.Remove tachometer and voltmeter (41 and42) from gauge panel (21) by removingknurled nuts (43) and mounting clamps(44). Pull tachometer and voltmeter fromfront of gauge panel and remove preformedpacking (45). Remove lampholder (46) andlamp (47) from gauge. Discard preformedpacking. Discard incandescent lamp ifburned out. Refer to legend and illustration.e.Remove ignition switch (48) from gaugepanel (21) by using a flat-blade screwdriverand a hammer to tap notch in screw cover(49) and loosen ignition switch. Removescrew cover and remove ignition switchthrough back of gauge panel. Removelockwasher (50) and hex nut (51). Refer tolegend and illustration.f.Remove panel lamp units (52) by pressingwith a finger from behind gauge panel (21).Refer to legend and illustration.g.Remove throttle control switch (53) fromgauge panel (21) by using an adjustablewrench to loosen and remove knob (54).Remove key washer (55). Remove anddiscard key washer (56) and pull switchthrough back of gauge panel. Removespacer rings (57 through 60). Do notdiscard spacer rings if not replacing throttlecontrol switch.h.Remove high temperature manual overridebutton (61) from gauge panel (21) by usingneedlenose pliers to loosen hex nut (62)behind gauge panel. Unscrew and removebutton (63) and pull switch through back ofgauge panel.i.Remove control handles (64) from gaugepanel (21) by using a six point screwdriverset to remove pan head cap screws (65),collar seals (66), and mounting plate (67).Pull control handles through back of gaugepanel, feeding boot (68) through gaugepanel. If repairing control handles, installretaining plate and secure with pan headcap screws back onto control handles.GO TO NEXT PAGE7-58
