TM 5-3895-373-20REFERENCE INFORMATIONENGINE COOLING SYSTEMWARNINGDo not remove the radiator pressure cap when the engine is hot; steam and hot coolant canescape and burn personnel.Use extreme care when removing the radiator pressure cap. Sudden release of pressure cancause a steam flash which could seriously injure personnel. Slowly loosen cap to the first stopto relieve pressure before removing cap completely. After use, securely tighten cap.Serviceengine coolant per paragraph2.23.3.Run engine per TM 5-3895-373-10 topressurizecooling system. Open fronttop leftaccess door and remove rightaccesscover per TM 5-3895-373-10.Check hoses at both ends for coolantleaks. Check for bent or crushedhoses. Check water pump for leaksaroundcenter shaft seal. If no leaksare detected, close front top leftaccessdoor and install right accesscover per TM 5-3895-373-10.Replace leakingradiator hoses per paragraph6.4 or leaking water pump per paragraph 6.5.2-75
