TM 5-3895-373-202.17.BATTERY/STARTER CIRCUIT DIAGNOSTICS.Perform battery and starter circuit tests whenever anapparent low charge condition is indicated, if starter willnot engage, or if sent here by another diagnostic test.WARNINGBattery and starter circuit tests areperformed on live electrical circuitsand can present a shock or burnhazard. Be very careful whenperforming these tests.NOTEA low charge or high circuitresistance is indicated when thestarter solenoid will not fully engage,or engine cranks slowly whenstarting.An open starter or starter controlcircuit is indicated when nothinghappens when the ignition switch isturned to the start position.Refer to TM 5-3895-373-10 forlocation of controls and indicators.2-113
